How does it work?

The enev-kit operates as an advanced smoke extraction and air ventilation system, particularly designed for elevator shafts. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:

Smoke Extraction System (RAS):

  • The RAS continuously draws air through the suction piping network from the area being monitored, detecting even the smallest smoke particles.
  • If smoke is detected, the built-in louvre valve in the shaft head for the smoke exhaust opening opens, allowing the smoke to escape unhindered.
  • Normally, the valve remains closed, preventing heat from escaping the building.
  • The system includes temperature and time controls for ventilating the shaft.
  • In the event of a power failure, it opens via a spring mechanism to ensure safety.

Monitoring & Triggering:

  • The enev-kit is recognized for its reliable monitoring and triggering capabilities, making it one of the best smoke extraction and air ventilation systems for elevator shafts available in the market.
  • Optional humidity measurement can be included, ensuring optimal indoor climate and preventing mold.
The device’s status and all the climate information of the space are displayed on the system’s screen.
  • Depending on the building type and other factors, it can offer significant annual savings in heating and cooling costs, with a rapid return on investment (ROI).

The enev-kit opens the louvre valve in response to:

  • Smoke detection
  • Power outage
  • Disturbances
  • Ventilation functions

Controlled Ventilation Intervals:

  • Initiated by measuring the indoor climate, including:
  • CO2 ventilation exceeding the value of 1500 ppm (hygienic indoor air value for fresh air)
  • Temperature exceeding 35°C (operating temperature for elevators is 5 – 40°C)
  • Adjustable air humidity between 40-90% relative humidity (optional)
  • Timer switch for freely programmable intervals for boost ventilation

The system’s design and functionalities make it not only effective in maintaining a safe and comfortable elevator shaft environment but also in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in building management.
